Groups are very welcome to visit Chester Cathedral, either as a destination in itself or as part of a visit to the city of Chester.
In order to avoid disappointment, all groups are requested to pre-book their visit. Please allow as much notice as possible as we are not always able to accommodate groups at short notice. Groups that have not pre-booked their visit will be asked to provide contact details on arrival.
Pre-booking offers a number of benefits:
- We can ensure you are able to enter the cathedral quickly and easily
- We can suggest alternative visiting slots if our service and opening times do not fit in with your schedule
- We can contact you at short notice if arrangements need to be altered
- We can adapt a tour to meet your exact needs and requirements, including deadlines
Self guided groups are asked to make a donation of £3.00 per person by cash, cheque or credit card at the Admissions Desk. Vouchers from group travel organisers are also acceptable.
