Highlight Tours

We offer a special ‘Highlight Tour' for those who may have to fit a visit to the Cathedral into a crowded schedule. This lasts around 30 minutes, and whilst not as thorough as a general tour, it still gives an introduction to the building and its history.

There is a charge of £2.00 per person for Highlight Tours in addition to the admisison charge; therefore admission plus a Highlight Tour is £5.00 pp.

Booking

Chester Cathedral is one of the busiest in the country, and to make sure your visit is properly planned, all guided tours MUST be pre booked, with a minimum of 2 weeks notice.

Bookings can be taken for tours from 9.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday, and 9.30am - 3.00pm on Saturdays. Tours are not available on Sundays.

All visits are subject to Cathedral Services, and on rare occasions it may be necessary to close certain parts of the building at short notice.
